How can I reduce the cost of my CNC machined parts?
You can reduce the cost of CNC parts by:

  • Using standard materials like Aluminum 6061 or POM instead of exotic alloys.
  • Minimizing the number of setups/orientations required to machine the part.
  • Relaxing tolerance requirements where high-precision is not critical.
What tolerances can Yistar achieve?
Our standard tolerance for machined metals is ISO 2768-m (fine), which translates to ±0.1mm. For critical mating surfaces, we can achieve tolerances down to ±0.01mm, and with precision ID/OD cylindrical grinding, we can target ±0.005mm.
Which files do you accept for custom manufacturing?
We prefer 3D CAD models in **STEP (.step, .stp)** or **IGES (.igs)** formats for pricing and programming. We also accept solidworks (.sldprt) or fusion 360 files. For critical dimensions, threads, or finishing requests, please also supply a matching 2D drawing in PDF format.
How do you guarantee the quality of parts?

Every project undergoes a strict inspection protocol: first-article inspection, in-process checking, and final inspection using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), optical projectors, and digital calipers.
